# Change AI Model

> Change the underlying AI model powering your hellenicAI Assistants assistant, compare GPT, Claude, and Gemini behaviour, and apply the switch without disruption.

hellenicAI Assistants supports multiple AI models from different providers — including OpenAI (GPT), Anthropic (Claude), and Google (Gemini). You can switch models at any time from your dashboard without any downtime.

## When to change the model

Different models have different strengths:

| Model                 | Best for                                                 |
| --------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| **GPT-4o**            | General-purpose tasks, strong reasoning, excellent Greek |
| **Claude 3.5 Sonnet** | Long documents, nuanced writing, analysis                |
| **Gemini 1.5 Pro**    | Large context windows, multimodal tasks                  |
| **GPT-3.5 Turbo**     | Fast, low-cost replies for simpler questions             |

## How to change your model

    Go to [app.hellenicai.com](https://app.hellenicai.com) and open your instance.

  <Step title="Find the model selector">
    On the instance page, look for the **Model** setting. It is usually shown in the **Settings** or **Configuration** section.

  <Step title="Select a new model">
    Click the dropdown and select the model you want to use.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save your changes">
    Click **Save**. The change takes effect immediately — your next message will use the new model.

<Note>
  Model pricing varies. More capable models (like GPT-4o and Claude 3.5 Sonnet) use more tokens and will increase your monthly usage costs. Check the **Usage** tab to monitor spending.

## Testing the new model

After switching, use the built-in **Chat** widget to send a few test messages and confirm the responses meet your expectations. If not, you can switch back to your previous model at any time.
